Michael F. Shahbazi, M.D.

Dr. Shahbazi was raised in East Tennessee and joined the Johnson City Eye Clinic in 1990. Following his internship at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University followed by a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago, IL. Dr. Shahbazi is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and serves as a clinical assistant professor of surgery at the Quillen College of Medicine at E.T.S.U. He is licensed to practice medicine and surgery in Tennessee, and his special interests include the medical and surgical management of glaucoma including anti-metabolite surgery, tube shunt surgery, and cyclo-ablation procedures as well as topical, clear corneal (suture less) cataract surgery.
