Randal J. Rabon, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Rabon completed his internship at the Akron, Ohio City Hospital and his ophthalmic surgery residence at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Before joining the Johnson City Eye Clinic in 2000, Dr. Rabon was a partner with the John Wilson Eye Clinic, Johnson City, since 1986. Dr. Rabon's practice emphasizes surgical ophthalmology with special interests in cataract and refractive surgery. Dr. Rabon has trained extensively in laser refractive surgery and has performed nearly 20000 laser vision correction procedures. He serves as the Senior Medical director at TLC Laser Eye Centers-TriCities. He has performed phacoemulsification since 1987, and is now one of seven Tennessee ophthalmologists certified in cataract surgery by the American Board of Eye Surgery. Dr. Rabon is licensed to practice medicine in eight states, certified by both the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Eye Surgeons. He has been a Fellow of the American college of Surgeons since 1991 and is a clinical assistant professor of surgery at the Quillen College of Medicine. He is a member of numerous local, state and national ophthalmic and surgical societies.
